Locking Drip Edge with hem is engineered to provide a secure, watertight termination at the roof edge while allowing direct panel integration. Its key feature is a formed locking leg that accepts the edge of a metal panel, eliminating the need for exposed fasteners or surface sealants. Because of this built-in locking action, the profile creates a seamless transition from panel to edge while maintaining full water control.
This flashing plays two important roles at once. It channels water away from the fascia while also anchoring the roofing system at its most exposed edge. In addition, the formed hook adds stiffness to the edge and reduces the chance of panel lift during strong winds. Installers appreciate the time-saving connection it provides, while designers value the clean, uninterrupted roofline it helps create.
We fabricate Locking Drip Edge in .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. All materials are available in Kynar 500® finishes, offering long-term protection against fading, UV exposure, and corrosion. These finishes also ensure a consistent appearance across flashings, panels, and trim.
Every locking profile is custom-formed to match panel type, seam height, and roof slope. Additional features like seal kicks, hemmed edges, or back flanges can be added depending on your edge detail.
