Apron Flashing with Seal Kick provides added protection where sloped roofs meet vertical surfaces such as chimneys, dormers, or headwalls. Like standard apron flashing, it redirects water out and over the roofing surface. However, the seal kick at the bottom edge extends this protection by projecting water farther from the wall. This subtle bend reduces staining, minimizes splashback, and defends against wind-driven rain.
Because this style of flashing controls runoff more effectively, it’s ideal for exposed areas or steep roof slopes. The seal kick enhances drainage and gives a clean, architectural look to the roof-to-wall transition. It performs especially well in regions with heavy rainfall or snowmelt.
We fabricate Apron Flashing with Seal Kick in .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. All versions are available with Kynar 500® finishes, which resist corrosion, chalking, and UV damage. This ensures lasting color and performance, even under extreme weather conditions. Additionally, each flashing is custom-formed to match the roof pitch and panel profile for a seamless fit.
Optional features such as hemmed edges, notching, and stiffeners can be added based on project requirements.
