Z-Bar

Z-Bar is a versatile metal trim designed to cover and protect horizontal joints, transitions, and overlaps in roofing and siding systems. Its distinctive “Z” shape creates a tight seal that prevents water infiltration while allowing panels to expand and contract freely. By bridging gaps and transitions, Z-Bar enhances the durability and weather resistance of roof edges and wall assemblies.

This trim plays a key role during the installation of ridge caps, end wall flashings, and apron flashings. It helps form a secure base for these components, providing a clean, level surface and ensuring proper water shedding. Additionally, Z-Bar covers raw edges, conceals seams, and directs runoff away from vulnerable joints, reducing leak potential.

We fabricate Z-Bar from .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. Each piece receives a high-performance Kynar 500® finish that protects against fading, UV damage, and corrosion. This coating keeps the metal looking sharp and maintains consistent color with other roofing components over time.

Profiles are custom-formed to suit specific dimensions, leg lengths, and bending requirements. Optional hemmed edges and stiffeners improve strength and simplify installation.
