Apron Flashing protects the lower edge where a vertical wall or chimney meets a sloped roof. It sits at the base of these intersections and channels water safely over the roof’s surface. Without it, rainwater can seep into gaps, leading to leaks, rot, or structural damage.
Because these areas collect runoff, apron flashing plays a crucial role in roof performance. It catches water coming down walls or chimneys and directs it onto the roofing panels below. This keeps vulnerable seams dry, even during storms or snowmelt.
We fabricate Apron Flashings from .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. These materials hold up against harsh weather, wind, and daily temperature changes. For added protection, we finish all metal in Kynar 500® coatings, which resist chalking, UV damage, and corrosion. This ensures color consistency across all roof trim.
Each flashing is custom-formed to suit the roof’s slope and the panel’s profile. You can also request features like hemmed edges, stiffening ribs, or welded corners, depending on your project needs.
