Gravel Stop provides a sturdy, protective edge for low-slope and built-up roofing systems that use loose gravel or ballast. Installed along the roof perimeter, it keeps gravel securely in place, preventing it from washing off and damaging gutters, landscaping, or walkways below. Additionally, gravel stop flashing seals the membrane edges, reducing the risk of wind uplift and water infiltration at vulnerable roof edges.
This metal flashing forms a vertical barrier that directs water toward drains or gutters while containing ballast material. Because roof edges often face heavy foot traffic and harsh weather, gravel stop also reinforces the perimeter, protecting the roofing system from damage and wear.
We fabricate gravel stops from .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. Each metal option features a durable Kynar 500® finish that resists corrosion, fading, and environmental wear, ensuring long-lasting protection and consistent color matching with other metal roofing components.
Profiles are custom-formed to match specific roof heights and overhang requirements. Optional hems, returns, and stiffening bends can be added to increase strength and simplify installation.
