W-Valley

W-Valleys are essential components for efficiently managing water runoff where two sloped roof planes intersect. Unlike standard open valleys, the W-Valley features a raised center ridge. This built-in divider directs water to each side of the valley, preventing overflow and reducing the risk of water back-up during heavy rain.

Because water flow is split evenly to each side, the W-Valley performs exceptionally well in high-volume drainage areas. In addition, the raised center helps deflect debris and ice, improving long-term system performance. As a result, this design provides greater protection for underlying roofing materials and underlayment.

We fabricate W-Valleys using .032, .040, or .050 aluminum, 24ga or 26ga steel, and 16 oz. copper. All versions are available in Kynar 500® finishes, which offer outstanding resistance to fading, chalking, and corrosion. These finishes ensure that your flashing remains durable and color-matched to the rest of the roof system.

Moreover, the profile can be notched, hemmed, or stiffened based on the slope or panel type. It’s compatible with both metal panel systems and shingle roofing, offering versatility across a wide range of projects.
