Masonry Drip Edge
Masonry drip edge is designed to be installed at the base of masonry walls, parapets, or copings to divert water away from the building façade. Featuring a projecting drip edge, it prevents water from running down the surface of the wall, helping to eliminate staining, reduce erosion, and protect structural integrity. Its main function is to manage water runoff from masonry surfaces while providing a clean, finished edge.
Features:
Channels water away from masonry walls and building exteriors
Reduces staining, freeze-thaw damage, and moisture infiltration
Integral drip profile promotes effective drainage away from vertical surfaces
Ideal for parapets, wall bases, or coping terminations
Commonly Paired Flashings:
Through-Wall Flashing – Works together to drain moisture from wall cavities
Counter Flashing – May terminate above masonry drip for layered protection
Coping Cap – Often used above masonry drip at parapet tops
Weep Vents – Installed below the drip edge to allow moisture to escape the wall
