Coping Cap

Coping caps are used to cover and protect the top of parapet walls, preventing water infiltration while providing a clean, finished edge to the roofline. Designed for both function and appearance, coping caps shield the wall structure from rain, wind, and thermal movement. Their main function is to provide watertight protection at the roof perimeter while accommodating expansion and contraction across long runs.

Features:

  • Protects parapet walls from water penetration and weather exposure

  • Provides a clean, architectural finish at the roof edge

  • Accommodates thermal movement with internal splice plates or cleats

  • Custom-fabricated to fit various wall widths and conditions

  • Color finishes meet roofing code requirements and follow Kynar 500® specifications for superior fade resistance and weather protection

Commonly Paired Flashings:

  • Reglet Flashing – Used where coping transitions into wall systems

  • Scuppers – Installed through parapets beneath coping for drainage

  • Counter Flashing – Integrates at wall connections near coping edges

  • Gravel Stop or Termination Bar – Complements coping caps in low-slope applications
